 | |  | | | | Event : Stage Right Production & Youth Fund Raiser | | Date : 2/24/2012 | Time : 6:00 PM |  On Friday and Saturday night, February 24 & 25, Stage Right will present Matthew Carlin's comedy, The Education of Angels at 7:30 pm each night. Two angels-in-training are sent back to Earth for their final exam. You will love the poignant resolution as they all bumble their way into a happy ending. Come join the fun and see if they pass the test! Our youth will offer the "Heavenly Devine Cafe" dinner fundraiser preceeding the play at 6:00 pm. The menu includes Crispy Fried Chicken (nuggets for the kiddos), Creamy Mac-n-Cheese, Country Cooked Green Beans, Buttery Sweet Corn, Soft Buttery Roll and Apple Pie (sundaes for the kids). Reservations must be made no later than Monday, February 20th at 3:00 pm. Plates are $10 for adults and $5 for children. To register online, please include how many adult(s) and child(ren) meals are needed and the date that you will be dining (February 24th or 25th). For more information, contact the church office.

February 26 is WMU Day at First Baptist. Our Guest speakers for both morning worship services will be Larry Osborne, director of the Red Springs Mission Camp in Robeson County, NC. Larry lives and works at the camp (along with his wife, Teresa, and their daughter, Mackenzie) and provide leadership to the many volunteers who come to serve (including our own WMU ladies). Please be in prayer for our ladies as they prepare this special worship service! |
| | Event : Mebane Walks Battle of the Churches | | Date : 3/3/2012 | Time : 9:00 AM | | Right now, FBC has only two teams entering the competition: The “FootNotes” and the “5th Street Walkers”! Don’t let THEM have all the FUN!!!! Create your own team of 3 to 5 church members, select a team captain or sign up as an individual and choose a team name. Once you have your team, contact our Church Coordinator, Beth Ashby, with all your info. You can walk as a team, duo, or individually. Just record how many miles you walk each week and report it back to your team captain. Your captain will then report back to Beth. The goal is to get Mebane to MOVE and work in 150 minutes of activity each week! You can also earn prizes for yourself, your team and your church!!! Join us Saturday, March 3rd beginning at 9am at the MACC for a Mebane Walk lead by a Mebane Walks ambassador (multiple distances are available). Come out to the ACC Women’s Tournament for a Saturday afternoon of fun, entertainment and faith building. MISSIONS DAY at the ACC Tournament, Saturday, March 3rd will provide the unique opportunity to hear a Women’s ACC Legend speak in regards to her faith and career, participate in the interactive Fan Fest, as well as see some of the country’s premier basketball. Cost of this event is $14 per person and includes speaker, fan fest, game ticket and boxed lunch.
